We saw this baby barred owl, along with it’s sibling and mother (other trees) along the trail in Clarks Creek Park in Puyallup, not far from a popular playground.

This blue jay (and a few of his buddies) hung around our camp at Kalaloch Beach in the Olympic National Park looking for handouts.

This bird spent the whole weekend that we were at Kalaloch Beach in the Olympic National Park attempting to play with the bird in the mirror. It was fun to watch, and drove Simon (the cat) crazy, but did make a mess of the mirror.

These osprey fly over their nest on an old power pole, where they have a nest. You can see the young osprey’s head over top of the nest. Taken in the Hanford Reach National Monument near Richland, Washington.
